In your role as a Java Developer/Software Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Business Analysts, Testers and Software Engineers, responsible for bug fixes and the implementation of changes. You won’t be alone, and can count on support from enthusiastic colleagues who are always happy to discuss solutions. However, as our application is complex, you will be expected to carry out proactive self-driven investigations. We strongly believe that the best argument should always win, independent of job title or seniority, and as such we look for engineers that will actively drive design discussions and in code reviews (we use Bitbucket intensively for such functions). This approach is also true for our processes: if you think we can optimise a process or a way of working, we strongly encourage you to share ideas with your team. We are looking for more engineers to join our DevOps teams at Keylane Copenhagen to help build our policy administration systems. We have two DevOps teams in Denmark that serves different customers. As a DevOps Engineer at Keylane you work in agile teams mainly with Java, Gradle, SQL and the various products in the Atlassian stack. Equally important is the contact with the customer for which you, together with your colleagues from your DevOps team, are the first point of contact. This also gives you immediate insight into how our software is used. This combination of programming, managing environments and customer contact provides a dynamic position in which you can optimally develop in the direction you aspire.

Besides this you keep track of changes, analyse, solve and correct issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution. Automation will be used by you to reduce the risk of errors and to escalate issues as appropriate to meet service level agreements. Therefore bug fixing is a big component of the job. You recognize opportunities to improve performance and strive to exceed customer expectation

• You have experience with large technical ecosystems using Java, Git and Gradle
  
• You have experience in working with SQL and databases
• You are used to creating and performing unit, system and integration tests as part of your development work
• You understand the agile way of working, tools and techniques
• You have an eye for writing code with attention for performance, scalability and maintainability
• You are customer and result oriented
• You are passionate about your code. You love to put your strong analytical skills to the test whilst working closely together with your team.
