Job Description
BLAST is growing rapidly and we are looking to push the limits of technology even further in order to deliver the best experience for our fans all over the world - from large-scale stadium events to intimate studio experiences.
We are looking for a software engineer with profound experience in building reliable and high performance systems. The software innovation team focuses on developing a very wide array of systems - from game statistics processing to real-time data visualizations (such as game HUDs or stage visuals) and tools used by our production team.
There are always new projects coming in, but we also encourage taking time to explore and learn new things. Our goal is to always look for new ways to use technology and constantly push the boundaries of what is possible.
Most of our systems run on-site in our studios or at our live events all over the world - some of which you will be attending as a representative from our team to ensure successful delivery and troubleshoot any potential issues. The team
You will be working in a small engineering team where everyone has a voice throughout the entire process - from ideation together with our product team to what technologies and architecture we should use. There are always new projects coming in - often with exploration and research to be done before writing a single line of code, which also means workdays will be very varied.
You will have weekly 1:1s with your manager, through which you will be able to work on your personal development and growth, by setting clear goals and getting, as well as providing, direct and actionable feedback.

Responsibilities
- Research, architect and develop innovative solutions for our events - usually from scratch.
- Work closely with stakeholders and product managers to define and deliver experience-enhancing systems.
- Be responsible for development work and take part in planning and scoping of deliveries.
- Help drive innovation in what we are working on and how we build software and ensure we are on the forefront of new technologies.
- Take part in creating an engaging working environment.
Requirements
- Profound experience architecting and developing new solutions from the ground up.
- Experience with database systems.
- Proficiency working with event-based data where performance and latency is important.
- Experience with microservices and containerization.
- Curious, quick learner and eager to master new technologies.
- Ability to work at our Copenhagen office.
- Ability to travel to and work at events.
Bonus points
- Familiarity with Typescript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, Angular or React is a plus.
- Familiarity with live broadcasting and equipment is a plus.
- Interest in esports is a plus.
