Job Description

Student Assistant to the Medical Science Team
We are looking for a Student Assistant to support our activities in the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Medical Science programme area.

Medical Science is supporting the entire value chain from basic discoveries translated to clinical care, often through strategic partnerships. The area supports open calls within biomedicine and clinical medicine, and a number of strategic initiatives such as the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Center for Basic and Metabolic Research, the Danish National Genome Center, the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy, the seven Steno Diabetes Centers, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Cellerator.

As Student Assistant you will become part of a team of 24 ambitious and dedicated full-time employees.

The Job

As our new Student Assistant, you will, together with the other student in our department, support the entire Medical Science Team. Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting with various events such as symposia or conferences
  • Internal and external communication on research programmes and activities
  • Updating archives and webpages
  • Preparation of presentations
  • Assist with fact finding, mapping and data collection
  • Assist with coordination and booking of internal and external meetings
  • Ad hoc assistance with various projects
  • Administrative ad hoc tasks

As part of your role, you will receive continuous feedback from and engage in sparring with the team, and you will further become a part of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s student network.

The working hours will be approximately 10-15 hours a week, distributed on two days per week, with flexibility in relation to your studies and around holidays. We prioritize to be present in person at the office and we expect our student assistants to do the same.

Professional and Personal Qualifications

We are looking for a 3rd year Bachelor or 1st semester Master level student who:

  • has an educational background in health or medical sciences,
  • is interested in working on projects that benefits society,
  • wants to be part of an ambitious and international workplace that is passionate about creating value for society.

Furthermore, we expect you to be:

  • Super user in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent in English and Danish, both spoken and written
  • Flexible and able to meet deadlines
