Job Description

The Salesperson will be responsible to make sure sales targets are met within the designated territory by creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. They will embrace the customer first strategy and encourage their colleagues to deliver excellent customer service. The Salesperson’s primary focus is on growing volume with existing accounts and developing high-potential new accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with the sales leadership team, developing and implementing sales strategies and consistently executing sales tactics that produce lead generation
  • Deliver client presentations, contract negotiations and will aid in project planning/execution of sales-based initiatives
  • Initiate, facilitate, manage, and build new client and partner relationships
  • Set up video calls and physical office visits, when possible in and around assigned regions with new leads and existing clients to present services
  • Develop and strengthen customer relationships, increasing customer touch time and intimacy
  • Build collaborative relationships that promote and increase the company’s market presence
  • Bring opportunities to the business in an organized and thorough way, so that we have enough time to react accordingly
  • Managing use of sales software (e.g. Salesforce, Outreach, SalesNav)
  • Be in the region approximately 50% with additional travel to different company offices or out of region for industry events
  • Requires some weekend and evening hours to foster relationships with current and potential customers
  • Responsible for revenue attainment and developing strategies to track, incentivize and achieve goals
  • Identify, develop, and nurture strategic partnerships in collaboration with the Executive Leadership team
  • Identify new opportunities and keep a pulse on regulatory changes
  • Work collaboratively to design and implement programs, processes and services to enhance sales teams' capabilities through engagement with internal, cross-functional business groups
  • Advocate for the company, demonstrating support at seminars, trade shows, partner launches/openings and other events as appropriate

Requirements

  • Secondary degree in marketing, sales, business or related field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years’ experience with a successful track record in growing sales
  • Passion for forging new markets while maintaining current business in territory
  • Command of business acumen and ability to run region like your own business
  • Should possess at least 5 years of proven sales experience within the maritime or pharma industry
  • Should possess the ability to develop, manage and implement marketing strategies
  • Should possess the ability to articulate the company’s vision in various forms as required
  • Should possess the ability to effectively interact with customers, business partners, and governmental officials
  • Should possess the ability to effectively utilize and understand various technologies that explains and promote the business
