Job Description

Have an appetite for all aspects of people development on a global scale? And do you have ambitions to be the key player in building capabilities for an ambitious growth journey? Join us on our journey, shaping a brighter future with sustainable coating solutions and towards doubling Hempel by 2025

It is a new season and we are embarking on a significant step-change in our growth ambitions. With our new strategy, Double Hempel, our ambition is to double Hempel’s revenue by 2025 through both organic growth and mergers or acquisitions. We cannot do this without developing world-class capabilities within all our core functions, attracting the right talents and ensuring a strong talent pipeline for our continued growth. Hempel People Development will be a key enabler of our strategy because it is our people that will make our ambitions become our future reality.

You will be leading ‘People Development’; a centre of excellence function anchoring all people development processes that mirror the full employee lifecycle. This includes our approach to attracting and onboarding talents, developing and delivering learning programmes to build functional and leadership capabilities and with solutions that are both face2face and virtual for scalability. Finally, you will drive our talent development agenda with talent and succession processes and talent programme to support the accelerated development of our high potential talents.

The team is a recent merger of the two independent teams; Hempel Academy and Talent Management. Going forward, the team will be the anchor for all people development globally across Hempel. The team currently includes 11 colleagues but we are looking to add capabilities particularly within content development and digital solutions. You will be part of our People & Culture Management team and report directly to the Chief People and Culture Officer. You will of course also collaborate closely with our segments and our People & Culture colleagues across our regions to ensure maximum impact and collaboration for the benefit of Hempel overall.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to

This position is a key role in the organisation with global exposure. The scope of responsibilities will focus on:

Development and delivery of strategic people capability initiatives (both face2face learning as well as eLearning) with focus on functional and leadership capabilities needed to deliver our Double Impact strategy

Talent programme development and delivery

Talent management processes and activities

People development processes and activities

Ad-hoc participation or lead of projects driven across our People & Culture function

You will have the opportunity to travel but you will work out of Lyngby, Denmark (greater Copenhagen Area) for a significant share of your time. For the right candidate outside Denmark, relocation assistance would be provided.
