Payne Search is recruiting on behalf of our client Hilding Anders for a Frontend Developer, with specialism in ecommerce integration.
Are you a frontend developer with expertise in e-commerce, and integrating to e-commerce platforms? If so, this is your opportunity to join a well known retail brand that is about to integrate and launch a whole new BigCommerce e-commerce platform this year.
Hilding Anders is one of the Global leaders in the luxury retail sector. This is a company with over 9000 employees across 18+ countries. Following a major financial investment, there is a whole new focus on ecommerce, and also a new office opening in Copenhagen, Denmark.
We are looking for a skilled Frontend / UI developer to participate in the execution of the technology agenda for the brand together with rest of the business teams in order to deliver a state-of-the-art consumer experience in all our customer touchpoints. You will be accountable for high quality software development and deployment as well as agreeing on the standards against which software development will take place.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing creative ideas with stakeholders.
- Testing and improving the design and performance of the website
- Identify cross-functional dependencies and remove blockers when needed across engineering, design, and product management
- Accountable for high quality software development and rapid, regular deployment
- Follow practice, process, toolset and coding across all software engineering activities
- Continuously promote best practice in software development and continually benchmark against industry standards
- Serving as a team member of Software Engineers, UI developers, UX designers and Scrum Masters, ensuring the overall direction, vision, delivery process and responsibilities for any given initiative
- Participate in enabling the development of internal engineering skills through defining learning and shared competences
- Work across initiatives within HAINT, steering solutions towards the correct architecture
- Participate into developing the strategic direction on UI software engineering that will deliver the best consumer experience
- Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices through a tangible Design System

Requirements
To be a likely good fit for this role, and hit the ground running, you are likely to be:
- An experienced Frontend/UI Developer, in HTML/CSS, and ideally JavaScript/React.js
- E-commerce platform experience is essential. Preferably the BigCommerce platform, or Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud etc.
- Proven track record developing experience consuming data from APIs (Social, Products, others)
- Experienced in developing engaging and interactive web fronts with support for various kinds of devices and browsers on an e-commerce platform
- Experience developing amp; maintaining e-commerce (e.g. BigCommerce) Themes and UI components based on Stencil and dedicated page builders such as Shogun
- Experience with multimedia asset management and delivery (image processing/sizing/compression)
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Proficiency in web design software including Miro, InVision, Adobe products or similar.
- Professional knowledge of Lighthouse is a merit
- Experienced working in an Agile environment and used to participate in required ceremonies
- Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
