Payne Search are recruiting on behalf of our client Hilding Anders, for the position of Backend Developer, with a specialism in e-commerce integration.
Are you a backend software developer with expertise in e-commerce, and integrating to e-comm platforms? If so, this is your opportunity to join a well known retail brand that is about to integrate and launch a whole new BigCommerce e-commerce platform this year.
Hilding Anders is one of the Global leaders in the luxury retail sector. This is a company with over 9000 employees across 18+ countries. Following a major financial investment, there is a whole new focus on e-commerce, and also a new office opening in Copenhagen, Denmark.
We are looking for a skilled developer to participate in the execution of the technology agenda for the brand together with rest of the business teams in order to deliver a state-of-the-art consumer experience in all our customer touchpoints. You will be accountable for high-quality software development and deployment as well as agreeing on the standards against which software development will take place.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a platform that scales worldwide
- Integrate the e-commerce site with other systems in the omnichannel landscape
- You will be part of the Digital Technology team responsible for the execution of the strategic agenda
- Participate in developing the strategic direction on software engineering that will deliver the most value to the business
- Identify cross-functional dependencies and remove blockers when needed across engineering, design, and product management
- Accountable for high-quality software development and rapid, regular deployment
- Accountable for agreeing to the standards against which software development will take place
- Follow practice, process, toolset and coding across all software engineering activities
- Continuously promote best practice in software development and continually benchmark against the industry standard.
- Serving as a team member of Software Engineers, UI developers, Ux designers and Scrum Masters, ensuring the overall direction, vision, delivery process and responsibilities for any given initiative
- Participate in enabling the development of internal engineering skills through defining learning and shared competences
- Work across initiatives within HAINT, steering solutions towards the correct architecture

Requirements
To be a likely good fit for this role, and hit the ground running, you are likely to be:
- An experienced Software Developer
- Must have experience in developing and operating large scale solutions on an e-commerce platform - preferably the BigCommerce platform, or Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud etc.
- Experience implementing an e-commerce platform and third-party apps (API's) in one or more of the following domains: Order fulfilment and distribution, Payment, Product Information, Marketplaces or CDB and marketing automation
- Experienced developing and operating solutions in Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure (or other Cloud platforms) through container technologies
