The Job
We are looking for a talented, business-minded Legal Counsel. You will work closely with our commercial teams, assisting them on challenging legal negotiations during customer acquisitions, securing compliance as well as GDPR. At the same time you will take care of all other ad-hoc legal tasks in our company.

What You'll Be Doing
- Reviewing, discussing, negotiating and drafting contracts with both our enterprise customers and suppliers. You will also support your colleagues in this process and participate in calls with our enterprise customers helping them to understand our legal requirements as well as our security and compliance efforts.
- Responsible for our contract management efforts.
- Driving our corporate governance compliance and making sure we are compliant with different legislations, such as GDPR.
- Maintaining data protection (privacy) compliance, and assisting internal stakeholders to perform assessments of their activities, processes and systems.
- Keeping our compliance programme up and running in preparation for our ISAE 3000 audit.
- Providing ad hoc counseling within different areas of law, such as labour, obligations, corporate/company, marketing, intellectual property, Mamp;A, risk management, data protection amp; privacy and telecommunications law.
- Help build processes and knowledge bases to support the different departments in performing their daily operations in a compliant manner.
Requirements
You hold a Master in Law or Master in Commercial Law (e.g. LL.M., cand.jur, or cand.merc.jur) and you could come from a similar position in a larger (IT) company, financial sector, auditor company or other SaaS industry.
On top of this, you:
- Have understanding of contractual components, and can identify commercial elements of contracts which are of importance to internal stakeholders.
- Possess knowledge about risk management and security requirements within IT and software platforms, and you are able to identify what is missing in regards to compliance requirements.
- Have a good understanding of intellectual property rights, contracts amp; obligations, privacy law, corporate law and preferably knowledge of IT Law.
- Excellent business acumen and deal-making capability.
- Can work independently, have a high drive and get things done.
- Are capable of structuring your knowledge, creating an overview and able to convey your findings and share this with the business.
- Are proficient in spoken and written English.
- Are a team player who can work across departments.
