Enriching our wine database and creating engaging content for users worldwide
Our database is the most comprehensive in the world. New wines are constantly added, and such a considerable amount of data requires a constant team effort. At the same time, we are expanding our wine focus, including more data about less-known wine regions and engaging even more users worldwide. And we are looking for a kick-ass team player to be part of this.
As Wine Specialist, you will join our fantastic Wine Content team the team of wine experts at Vivino! Your responsibility will be to enrich and improve our wine database and create engaging content to help our valued community discover the world of wine.
The central part of the job is to:
- Manage and improve information about thousands of wineries and millions of wines
- Produce engaging digital wine content in different formats
- Research and enrich the structure of the Vivino wine regions, grapes, and styles
Another part of the job is general troubleshooting and providing services to the rest of the company on wine-related topics. That also includes contributing to the development of our wine marketplace.
It's important for us that you grow and evolve your skill set when working in Vivino. You will be assigned to smaller personal projects with a set cadence according to your interests and passions, and we will set training goals together to fit your career goals.

In the Wine Content team, we are the "gatekeepers" of the wine database; therefore, we are the point of contact for several teams interacting externally (with users, merchants, and wineries) and escalating wine-related issues to us.
We are five passionate wine-lovers in the team located in Copenhagen and fifty team members in India, with whom you will coordinate the cleaning of the database. We all use some specific Vivino-tools in our daily work, and therefore we work closely with a team of Engineers, the Wine team they are our right hand when it comes to the relation between our wines and the functioning of the database. Also, we are a part of the overall Product Team, and we contribute to the improvement of Vivino as a whole.
Creative team player with a solid wine knowledge
To succeed in this role, we envision that you have a background in languages, hospitality, copywriting, or similar. You are an organized wine connoisseur and a curious digital and media enthusiast and you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you learn something new every day while also being responsible for solving repetitive tasks. Further, you work well and effectively in both teams and independently and are passionate about delivering quality work.
You are keen on contributing to the most comprehensive wine database maintenance, passionate about writing, and eager to create unique user experiences for millions of people. And you know wine!
Adding to the above, we hope to see that you have and can demonstrate:
- Extensive wine knowledge (WSET 3 or similar level)
- Solid understanding of spreadsheets with the ability to handle a significant amount of data
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Creative talent with experience in writing and the ability to engage people
- Detail-orientation with good online research and data skills
