Job Description

2021 is already a year to remember for Planday. A few weeks ago we became part of the Xero family, joining forces with one of the planet's biggest cloud-based accounting software platforms to further deliver on our purpose to make life easier for employers and employees the world over. Aligned with Xero’s passion for businesses, people and growth, we’re looking forward to working together to build a strong launchpad for businesses and employees to manage their time and reach their joint potential in life and at work.

As we expand our People Operations through 2021, we are excited (and nervous!) to begin hiring for a temporary cover for our Copenhagen favorite Mollie Oving, People amp; Culture Manager and soon-to-be mother of two!

We are looking for a Danish-speaking maternity cover for Mollie who will be able to step in during May, taking up business partnering responsibilities for our Copenhagen Product/Engineering amp; Marketing divisions and forming a key link in our international People amp; Culture structure. This role will be contracted fixed-term for 12 months, with the potential to turn permanent if/as we grow.

As our People amp; Culture Manager, you will:

  • Support Planday leaders to execute on organizational strategies, grow their teams, develop their people and to positively impact employee engagement and culture
  • Advise and coach managers on employee relations, throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle including performance management, career development, succession-planning, education, engagement, reward and recognition
  • Continually challenge and improve 'HR' processes and procedures in order to drive efficiency and encourage scalable, forward-thinking solutions
  • Act as key collaborator for the conservation and evolution of Planday's organizational culture and employee wellbeing; fostering an atmosphere of trust and respect aligned to our values

Requirements

As our ideal candidate, you possess:

  • 5+ years of People amp; Culture/HR business partnering experience; preferably within the fast-growing SaaS/technology sector and across distributed office structure(s)
  • Extensive knowledge and application of employment legislation and legal convention for the Danish labour market
  • Insight into people dynamics across a business and experience leveraging this understanding to advise and manage relations, risks and reactions
  • Expertise with tools and practices governing performance management, employee development, onboarding and retention
  • Emotional intelligence, integrity, resilience and the courage to challenge - to make suggestions based on experience and to articulate a standpoint in the face of questions
  • A focus on inclusivity, fairness and effective prioritization in practice

Please remember, you will need to be a Danish speaker and ready to join during May 2021. Our preference would be for a 1 May start date to allow a full month of handover with Mollie, but at a push we could facilitate a two week handover from the mid-month mark.

Benefits

  • This role will be contracted fixed-term for 12 months, with the potential to turn permanent if/as we grow
  • At Planday, we know that happy people power great businesses. We strive to provide a career-defining workplace for our team based on the values of transparency, communication, and flexibility; while maintaining a Scandinavian approach to work-life balance. We celebrate each other’s achievements and differences and encourage each other to learn and grow.
Working at Planday you will see the immediate benefits of your work every day, in the value you create for our employees around the world
  • Whether on bike, foot or with Metro, you will love your commute to our new HQ in central Copenhagen. Our incredible architect-designed space is a great hub for work, collaboration and team bonding. Here, you will find a truly international working environment, where having fun is taken very seriously: whether as part of the Wine club, our Product Hackdays, or our now famous Christmas Parties
  • Also our Pamp;C team is the best! Curious? Reach out to Nikki Thorpe for questions.
