Planday's workforce management platform improves the lives of shift workers across the globe by digitizing and integrating systems and administrative tasks; helping save time and money to focus on the things that really matter. Every day our engineers design, develop, test, release, operate and measure the Planday product under the Agile philosophy, and in so doing, redefine the interaction between businesses and employees around the world.
Planday's Integrations team plays a key role in this global picture, making it possible for organizations to use Planday as a platform that suits their unique needs and structures, and with their own APIs and systems environments. We are now hiring for a Partner amp; API Support Engineer based out of our Copenhagen Office, who will form a key link in our internationally distributed Scrum team of developers, designers, and product managers. As our new Partner amp; API Support Engineer, you will be the primary contact for our partners and customers using our APIs to build powerful and valuable integrations to Planday. You will act as a guru and a guide to assist them utilizing Planday's APIs, and you will continuously collect their feedback to improve the developer experience at Planday. Having experience from similar situations will be a strong asset.
As our new Partner amp; API Support Engineer, you will:
- Be part of the development team responsible for integrations and open API
- Be responsible for the API support to our partners and customers using Planday open API to build integrations
- Excel in communication using code samples and snippets
- Develop new and current endpoints in Plandays open API, to scale API coverage and API functionality
- Onboard and drive product partner integration certification (demo, verification, approval, communication)
- Improve and enhance API documentation (developer.planday.com) based on best practices and latest trends.
- Be responsible for API endpoint Monitoring
Requirements
You are an excellent communicator and will find yourself in conversations with developers and product people from many different customers and partners, so communication in various programming languages or use cases is crucial.
You are a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for technology, and you are a problem solver by nature with a structured approach to your work.
As our ideal candidate, you possess:
- A few years of experience with software development and concepts (e.g. Python, Java, C#).
- Experience developing in C# in .NET, ASP.NET MVC amp; WEB API
- Deep knowledge of API technologies/techniques REST and/or other web services.
- An understanding of RESTful API endpoints that accept and return JSON
- Knowledge of relational database concepts like SQL, indexes and constraints, transactions, and object-relational mapping. Specific experience with MS SQL Server is a bonus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- An ability to work autonomously with a high level of responsibility.
- Curiosity towards cutting edge technology, web, cloud or mobile development, programming languages, frameworks, methodologies
- Experience using API clients like Postman
- Experience working with Enterprise SAAS products and cloud hosted platforms would be an added bonus
