Job Responsibilities

The Customer Engagement Architect drives Azure-based customer initiatives in collaboration with customers and participates in both pre and post-sales (e.g., deployment) efforts. The Engagement Architect is a customer facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience. They own the customer customer engagement including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs of concepts. The ideal candidate has experience in customer facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture and application design discussions with senior customer executives to drive cloud deployment. Five or more years of architecture, design implementation and/or support of distributed applications designed to run in the cloud or across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. Experience in consultative sales, design and deployment of projects

Technical:

  • Lead meetings with the customer technical teams (training, handovers, requirements gathering, etc.) and internal project teams
  • Scope out a complex projects based on business requirements and achievable benefits
  • Lead technology decisions and facilitate and articulate alternatives
  • Break down business requirements into technical specifications
  • Prepare project documentation (Architecture and Design, Vision and Scope documents)
  • Lead medium (3-6 ppl.) delivery teams and take responsibility for delivery within agreed hours budget
  • Supervise technical quality and set priorities for others
  • Estimate the effort required to deliver a project based on a statement of work
  • Execute technical proof of concepts
  • Prepare technical input for offers
  • Act as Technical Leader in project who can do some complex tasks in the project.

Sales:

  • Create Scopes of Work,
  • Create Work Break-down Structure,
  • Generate smaller deals based on current relations/projects

Project:

  • Book and manage project resources,
  • Play a key role in the Envision and Planning of the project. In many cases, create FDD, TDD, HLD, Project Plan
  • Act as Technical lead in all phases of the project,
  • Orchestrate and ensure the project goes smoothly by connecting all stakeholders (developers, admins, customer business, customer IT)
  • Facilitate meetings with a customer
  • Act as Single project point of contact for Customer and Cloudeon
  • Ensure project is delivered within:
    • Hour budget
    • Quality (Customer Satisfaction)
    • Time
  • Work on-site to ensure proper solution design
  • Work on-site to ensure proper solution deployment
  • Perform solution hand-over and sign proof of execution
  • Work on up to 4 projects at the same time as Project Owner.

Requirements

  • Min. 4+ years of experience in developer, architect or pre-sales role,
  • Min. 2+ years of experience in leading and scoping projects,
  • Min. 2+ years of experience in working with Customers,
  • Proficiency in Azure/.NET technologies on Expert Level
  • Delivered or was part of approx. 5-8 projects,
  • Nice to have MCP certification,
  • Ability to prepare Scope of Work and WBS,
  • Ability to manage a project within hours budget
