Job Description

At Vivino, we are on an exciting growth journey. We need to learn even more about our community, customers, wineries and wine merchants while building research practices inside Vivino. And we are looking for a skilled UX Researcher to help us achieve this.

You’ll be part of the Service Design team working alongside Product Design, UX Design, and UX Research.


Plan, prioritize, conduct, analyze, and communicate research
As UX Researcher, you will be responsible for planning, scoping, conducting, and communicating research. This entails:

  • Recruiting users internally and externally for research projects
  • Planning, conducting, and moderating making sure the right questions are being asked
  • Analyzing findings of usability tests, surveys and interviews conducted
  • Guiding Product Managers and Product/UX Designers in conducting their own research
  • Advising cross-functional partners (marketing, brand, sales, etc.) on which methodologies to use and when
  • Communicating, advocating for, and socializing actionable insights in a clear and compelling way
  • Actively contributing to the UX Research team culture, processes, and documentation.

To succeed in this role, it is important that you have strong interpersonal skills that give you the ability to connect with colleagues across the organization. You understand how to balance business needs and user needs while being a dedicated advocate of a user-centered, evidence-based approach to product development. And you understand why it’s important to spend time explaining the value of your research and being transparent about your work processes.

Adding to the above, we also hope to see that you have and can demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in research, preferably from an in-house position in a digital product organization
  • An established UX research toolbox
  • Familiarity with quantitative research methods, utilizing metrics and A/B tests
  • Experience crafting surveys and polls on web, apps amp; social media channels
  • The ability to synthesize quantitative data with qualitative data in an engaging way (video summaries, storytelling, audio compilations etc.)
  • Experience with conducting both remote and in-person research
  • Experience in recruiting amp; incentivizing participants
  • Experience with semi-structured interviews, field research, and diary studies
  • Experience in conducting moderated and unmoderated usability testing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • A degree in human factors, cognitive sciences, anthropology, human-computer interaction, psychology, or a related field or relevant experience
  • The ability to speak, read and write English fluently
