Job Description

About GameAnalytics

GameAnalytics is currently the #1 analytics tool for anyone building a mobile game, from indie developers, games studios to established publishers. Our network is approaching 100,000 games, which are played by more than 1.2 billion people each month.

What’s our mission? To help game developers make the right decisions based on data. And by joining our team, you’ll be working on new and innovative products to help tens of thousands of people in the industry do just that.

About the role

We're on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Product Designer to help pave the way for one of our new product lines.

We're not just looking for a paintbrush for hire. We need someone to get their hands dirty and lead one of our core product lines from a design perspective - from the initial wireframe all that way through to the final polish.

You'll have a lot of freedom and ownership with this role. And although you'll have support and resources at your disposal, we really need someone to come in and hit the ground running.

Sound like you so far? Keep reading to learn more.

By the way, we’d love to take a look at your portfolio when you apply. So please make sure to include it with your CV (and don’t forget to share the password if it’s private).

What you'll do

  • Own and lead design for one of our core analytics tools end-to-end. You’ll work closely with product managers and engineers in establishing its long-term strategy and short-term tactical work.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team around overall product vision, design processes, research practices, and design systems.
  • Work on a range of projects from broad, loosely defined problems and concepts to specific, tactical feature work.
  • Collaborate with emerging projects to align design process and global component usage.
  • Support our Ant design system library. ( So you’ll define and describe global component usage, patterns, anti-patterns, and visual layouts.)
  • Collaborate closely with the Frontend team. You’ll provide design specifications and design quality control for each scope/iteration in the feature development process.
  • Optimize existing UI based on client feedback and analysis from user behaviour tracking.
  • Participate in frequent design reviews and critiques with designers, product teams, and leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience working as a Product or UI/UX Designer.
  • Proficiency with Figma (our primary tool) or Sketch.
  • Take ownership of the feature/product that you create from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of web implementation technologies. (No coding required, but the ability to converse with developers about implementation details is important.)
  • Team player with a pragmatic, positive attitude and a passion for learning and developing skills and processes in the team.
  • The ability to emphasize, understand, analyze and reflect on user needs.
  • Ability to create interactive prototypes and high fidelity screens.
  • Experience building and using design systems.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with various audiences and stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting and facilitating user research sessions.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates research, UX and visual skills in digital products (including dashboards design).

Bonus points if you have:

  • Worked within the mobile gaming industry.
  • Designed SaaS products (ideally within a startup).
  • Worked with data-heavy products, analytics tools.
  • Used charts and data visualization tools.
  • Worked on cross-platform solutions for desktop and mobile.
  • Experience working in an agile setup (or working knowledge of agile development methodologies.)
  • Used project management tools (we use JIRA / Confluence).

Benefits

  • Remote working flexibility or part-time remote
  • (When in office) Food, snacks and drink
  • Entertainment Area
  • 25 days paid holiday (excluding bank holiday)
  • Company sickness leave
  • Parental and guardian leave
  • Additional compassionate leave
  • Work-from-Anywhere Scheme
  • Learning budgets
  • Monthly social nights
  • Expense phone bill
  • Cycle to work scheme

Please note that for remote roles located outside of the UK and Denmark, you will be hired under a PEO arrangement. This is to ensure that our benefits are not in violation of local employment laws.
