Job Description

About GameAnalytics

GameAnalytics is currently the #1 analytics tool for anyone building a mobile game, from indie developers, games studios to established publishers. Our network is approaching 100,000 games, which are played by more than 1.2 billion people each month.

What’s our mission? To help game developers make the right decisions based on data. And by joining our team, you’ll be working on new and innovative products to help tens of thousands of people in the industry do just that.

About the role

We're looking for the next hawkeye to join our team. Someone who not only spots elements when they're 1px off centre, but thrives on finding the inconsistencies, the bugs, and only accepts perfection.

What we’re exactly scouting for is a talented and driven UI/Visual designer. A person who will help us design and implement wireframes and web graphics. Who loves the words "this needs to be consistent" when working with our different departments, and doesn't settle for anything less.

Sound like you so far? Then read on for the details.

By the way, we’d love to take a look at your portfolio when you apply. So please make sure to include it with your CV (and don’t forget to share the password if it’s private).

What you'll do

  • Design engaging, intuitive, and beautiful and responsive landing pages.
  • Establish design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
  • Test and improve our website design.
  • Define and create a visual language as an extension of the brand (illustrations, icons, colors, typography, animations, digital campaigns, print etc.).
  • Keep the website functional and stable across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet.
  • Work with our marketing and design team to incorporate brand elements and relevant market research findings into our websites.
  • Contribute to the GameAnalytics Design System, specifically the Brand and Marketing sections.
  • Educate others on design thinking, brand experience, and design-driven storytelling.
  • Engage in constructive design critiques.
  • Create visual design specifications for developers.
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience.
  • Collaborate closely with the design team around overall product vision, design processes, research practices, and design systems.
  • Create the Marketing design system and evolve our overall design system, making sure our brand guidelines are consistent everywhere.
  • Optimize existing UI based on client feedback and analysis from user behaviour tracking.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years experience in designing brand identities, grid systems, editorial layouts and applications for web, desktop and mobile.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other 2D design tools.
  • Experience leading high-visibility user interfaces and digital design systems for websites.
  • Be an advocate for consistent and cohesive design throughout the company.
  • Take ownership of the feature/website development from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of web implementation technologies. (No coding required, but the ability to converse with developers about implementation details is important.)
  • Team player with a pragmatic, positive attitude and a passion for learning and developing skills and processes in the team.
  • Ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates high visual skills in digital web products (mobile amp; desktop).

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience designing a website for a technical product
  • Worked within the mobile gaming industry
  • Worked on SaaS products (ideally in startups).
