Job Description

We are looking for a Information Security Director who will prepare and execute the strategy for the protection of the company’s information assets. Working closely with the CPTO and the IT Director you will develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance strategy to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks governing the access to, retention, sharing and disposal of data.

  • Bringing your in-depth experience in Information Security, your active work with ISO standards, your involvement and work with GDPR across an organization, your experience from working with cloud infrastructure, your strong reference points to IS security projects you have been leading
  • Being Involved in and approving the design of security processes and systems
  • Ensuring that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested
  • Reviewing and approving security and access policies, controls and cyber incident response planning
  • Reviewing investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities
  • Maintaining a current understanding of the IT threat landscape for the industry
  • Ensuring compliance with the changing laws and applicable regulations and translate that knowledge to identification of risks and actionable plans to protect the business
  • Scheduling periodic security audits
  • Making sure that cyber security policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced
  • Providing training and mentoring to security team members and support internal auditors
  • Briefing the executive team on status and risks, including taking the role of champion for the overall strategy supported by the necessary budget
  • Focusing on the management of data, information, and knowledge across the entire company to increase discoverability, facilitate dissemination, and provide timely and relevant digital intelligence in every department.
  • Ensuring a robust and systematic governance arrangement in relation to data management subjects
  • Identifying, classifying and registering data sources and databases to ensure efficient data management and use of data sources.
  • Facilitating and performing Data Security Risk Assessments and audits.
  • Owning the Incident Reporting Framework to include the reporting of relevant data security investigations and compliance concerns to the COO amp; CPTO
  • Establishing and coordinating a network of Data Officers.
  • Preparing reports highlighting security risks, current trends and opportunities for learning and improvement to the COO
  • Monitoring current, new and emerging trends in industry/international information security-related standards including local and EU legislation (e.g. GDPR regulations) to ensure that LanguageWire’s policies

  • We manage to continue our strong commitment to ISO 27001 and renew our certificate, we evaluate and decide to file for ISO 27701 to include Data Protection. We continue to maintain a high security awareness within our organization among all our employees
