The role you’ll play
As a Linguist-Terminologist, you will be responsible for managing the termbases and translation memories of our key customers, to ensure their linguistic assets are well-maintained and therefore contribute to the best quality translations. This involves creating and updating terminology databases, performing terminology extractions, updating translation memories, performing alignments all in close collaboration with our Customer Success and Operations Solutions teams.In the Terminologist role, you will also contribute to the high quality of our services and proactively flag any points of improvement to the relevant teams.
The team you’ll be a part of
You will be part of an international team of 20 linguists from all around Europe and work closely with your three fellow terminologists located in Belgium and Spain. In the Linguistic Services team, you will be surrounded by helpful and caring colleagues who love to share funny stories and linguistic slip-ups and who would be happy to welcome you as our new team member. You will be working from either our office in Copenhagen or in Aarhus with colleagues from other departments, such as our Customer Success team.

- Combining different language tools into a winning solution for internal and external stakeholders
- Performing maintenance tasks on translation memories and termbases with precision and eye for detail, always keeping in mind that the work you do has an impact on the quality of LanguageWire translations
- Providing linguistic support according to your language competences for the Linguistic Services team as well as other internal and external stakeholders, e.g. validation tasks, fluency checks
- Providing expert advice to internal stakeholders on the establishment of linguistic assets, e.g. for complex or major projects, or onboarding new customers
- Being able to put yourself in the translators’ shoes, as they will be the ones using the result of your work
- Providing feedback on processes and systems to improve the quality of our services

- You have been successfully processing terminology tasks while improving overall linguistic quality
- You feel confident offering your expert advice to internal stakeholders on the customer’s linguistic assets
- You are successfully integrated into LanguageWire and have contributed to your team’s efforts to achieve their goals
What you’ll need to bring:
- Experience using CAT tools
- Good Excel skills and willingness to work with new software applications
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Linguistic background and a passion for languages
What makes you stand out:
- Knowledge of Nordic languages and/or any non-West-European language
- A degree in translation
- Professional experience in the translation industry
- Professional experience as a terminologist or a localization engineer
- Experience with macros and regular expressions
