We are now looking for a Director of QA to join our Copenhagen HQ. In this role, you will lead an international, highly motivated, cross-functional, group of QA Engineers.
We trust that you understand how your work contributes to realizing a company vision and that you have a passion for interacting with many different people to achieve a goal.
You will form a key link in our internationally distributed Scrum team of developers, designers, and product managers. As our new Director of Quality Assurance, you will need:
- Experience defining and following test strategies ensuring that we take a structured approach to increasing quality
- A deep understanding of defect lifecycle from testing, reporting, analysis, fix, verification all the way to a deployed state
- Solid experience with managing your time to cover the most important tasks first
- A pragmatic approach to shifting focus and handling multiple projects at the same time
- Wide knowledge of tools and services used for various types of testing
- Take part in our Hackathons, growth hacking events, and a ton of other social events that make Planday stand out as a people-focused company
Requirements
As our ideal Director of QA, you are accustomed to an agile work environment and comfortable in a communicative interface role within our organization. You will need to rely on an ability to switch contexts effectively and reach pragmatic solutions through quick decision-making.
You will require a minimum of 5 years full-time experience working as a Test Automation Engineer / QA developer, including:
- Good knowledge of manual amp; automated testing including smoke tests, regression tests, unit tests, security testing amp; API tests
- Experience with Selenium/Webdriver based frameworks (preferred JavaScript) and non-Selenium based tools
- Knowledge of the automation testing principles within the Page Object Model design pattern
- Knowledge of Security testing and the value it brings to us
- Line management abilities with regards to personal development, coaching, and guidance
- Knowledgeable of tooling within the QA area in order to ensure we make good decisions in tooling and cost around services to support QA
- Well organized and detail-oriented. With a collaborative mindset. Working actively to have QA become an active part of all teams.
Beneficial (but not required) experience would include:
- Experience from similar roles in the past
- Experience managing people, growing, and coaching them to reach their full potential
- Experience working in an agile setup for a company that has QA Engineers embedded in teams
