Manager to run IT Project Office and Service Functions

As Manager, GIT Services, you will be serving our application, infrastructure, and platform teams, taking ownership for cross-team assignments. Together with a small team of specialist and student assistants, you will be responsible for our IT governance process, portfolio and pipeline management, vendor relationships, budgeting, and back-office functions.

You will join Ascendis Pharma Global IT in our Global IT Services Team reporting directly to the CIO.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Facilitating the IT Governance process, including portfolio management and IT board meetings
• Connect with IT colleagues in all teams to keep a pulse on activities
• Mature our contracting, license management and vendor management process
• Budgeting and financial follow-up
• Facilitate yearly goal setting and follow-up
• Onboarding and training of new employees
• Drive internal improvement projects
• Lead and develop a small team

The successful candidate has 3+ years of experience from a PMO, a CIO office, as project manager or something completely different. Ideally you have worked in a biotech, pharmaceutical company or consultancy catering to the pharmaceutical industry. You have:

• A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or similar
• Ability to partner with our teams and build services to solve their needs
• Knowledge and interest in IT, and how technology can transform business processes
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to lead and excite
• Ideally knowledge about, but surely an interest in agile methodology
• Experience or strong interest in people management
• A strategic mindset

As a person you are self-driven and ready to take responsibility from day one. You are agile at heart and more concerned about the results of your team than your individual success. Your approach is entrepreneurial, and you enjoy finding solutions that meet the business needs. You think on your feet and keep your composure when things move quickly.

You are proficient in English at a professional level, both written and spoken.

Last but not least, you have a good sense of humor and enjoy working across time-zones and cultures.

Travelling: Approx. 10-20 days/year
