Are you a Game Engineer ready to join our family, to be part of a live title that is focused on experimentation and quick iteration cycles? We have ambitious goals to grow and relaunch one of our first titles, all while being the heart of player research for Sybo Games. No idea is too crazy and no features will simply be copied from other games- We have our eye on what hasn’t been done before!
As we work in small teams, we're looking for creative generalists, who are passionate about making games, coming up with ideas and tackling any of the various tasks that are involved in game development, from gameplay to meta-game systems to SDK integrations and everything in-between.
As a Game Engineer, you will:
- Work as part of a Lean-Agile team on our hit game Blades of Brim, which won Editor’s Choice from Apple.
- Design and develop new features and systems for updates on live titles.
- Be involved in day-to-day discussions about system design and architecture.
- Experiment to help improve Unity3D workflows, pipelines and standard methodologies.
- Prototype new game ideas with our game designer to transform our game into an innovation hub for Sybo
- Take existing prototypes through pre-production to production, launch and beyond.
- Integrate cutting edge microservices packages provided by our Shared Services team
- Participate actively in all areas involved in game development and take initiative to own your tasks wh
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience shipping releases on mobile platforms, we are open to mid-level or senior engineers
- Intermediate to advanced Unity3D experience
- Strong knowledge of OOP languages, primarily C#
- Familiarity with widely-used design patterns, algorithms and software engineering principles
- Experience integrating SDKs or microservices packages with an understanding of backend integrations
- Demonstrable 3D Gameplay programming knowledge, including vector mathematics, AI, animation, camera control, input mechanisms, etc.,
- Experience working in an agile environment with both technical and non-technical teammates using clear and proactive communication
Bonus points:
- Experience with making code extensible and/or server configurable
- Any novice backend or full-stack development experience
- Native development experience on iOS and Android
- Graphics / Shader programming knowledge
- Online multiplayer experience
- Automated Testing Experience
- Tech Performance/Profiling Experience
- F2P experience
