Job Description

Who we are

The European Agency for Special Needs and Inclusive Education is an independent and self-governing organisation. We act as a platform for collaboration for our 31 member countries. We aim to help our member countries improve their educational policy and practice and work towards ensuring more inclusive education systems.

Our working language is English. We also publish some key documents in the languages of our member countries (currently 24 languages).

The Information Dissemination Team

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our Information Dissemination (ID) Team. This is the Agency’s communications team, responsible for the production of digital and printed materials. The team’s work includes copy-editing, formatting, printing and distribution of Agency publications, ensuring accessibility of Agency materials, co-ordinating translations, web editing, and creating content for digital media outputs.

Requirements

The Information Dissemination Assistant role

The Information Dissemination Assistant role is part-time, for self-employed candidates. It will be offered initially on a one-year contract.

We are looking for a native-level English speaker with excellent content writing, copy-editing and proof-reading skills. Our ideal candidate is someone with professional experience in digital media production. Strong attention to detail and proven experience in a similar role are important. The candidate must have good team-working skills, but also be prepared to work independently. Experience with a range of IT tools and programs and a willingness to learn new IT skills are required.

Experience with Google Analytics and SEO knowledge are desirable. Familiarity with templates and styles in Microsoft Word and with accessibility features in Adobe Acrobat Pro would be an advantage. Second language skills, knowledge of plain English principles, an awareness of information accessibility and an interest in the inclusive education field are desirable.

This role involves home-based working, using web-based tools to collaborate with colleagues around Europe. The candidate must live in Europe, as the post requires occasional travel (subject to COVID-19 travel restrictions).

How to apply

To apply for this role, please send a detailed curriculum vitae and cover letter by 22 July 2021.

Interviews will be held shortly after.
