About The Role
Goodiebox is looking for an experienced software engineer with a DevOps focus to help us build and scale our digital product. The primary responsibilities will be building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, improving our development tooling and release processes, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our platform.
As a member of Team Tech, you will bring a members-first mindset to developing our subscription and eCommerce platforms and expanding our digital offerings. Day-to-day, you will:
- Build and improve upon our existing GCP-based cloud infrastructure
- Build developer tooling to support our growing engineering team
- Maintain and improve upon our CI/CD pipeline
- Build and maintain third-party integrations to expand our product platform and support internal stakeholders
- Participate in product discovery by providing guidance and resources for backend services and infrastructure
- Support product delivery by contributing to the development of backend services and infrastructure, as well as frontend components when applicable
Requirements
- BSc in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years experience in software engineering or related role
- Professional-level written and spoken English communication skills
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform or a comparable cloud services provider, TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem, REST APIs, relational and document databases, git and GitHub
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate proactively with stakeholders
- Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with business-to-consumer or eCommerce development
- Experience integrating with third-party payment or logistics providers
- Experience with frontend development, especially React
