We are here to help farmers by providing tools, services, and incentives to undergo radical transitions towards sustainable practices.
Our technology platform both contains a marketplace helping farmers optimize the price of their products, and the latest AgreenaCarbon our Carbon Payment Programme to help farmers fund their transition and optimize how cropland is managed.
We’re a young-ish team with a modern working style so although our HQ is in Nyhavn, Copenhagen, we’re digital at heart, and therefore our team is located all over Europe.
If you have a strong ability to think through technical challenges, build APIs, architect systems, and create robust services - we'd like to hear from you.
Requirements
What we are looking for
- at least 3 years of proven working experience with Ruby / Rails
- experience in write well designed, testable, efficient code
- experience in write APIs (REST)
- familiarity with TDD (RSpec)
- database (Postgres) knowledge
- good communication skills to work with a team
- will take ownership and has accountability
- embrace technical challenges with a continuous eagerness to learn and create new things
- available to work from 09-15:00 (CET)
What is nice to have
- experience with Grape and Sidekiq
- working experience on performance optimization - application monitoring, profiling, improvements implementation
- experience with deployment and other dev-ops configurations with technologies like Heroku, Docker and/or AWS services such as: S3, EC2, etc.

Practicalities
Agreena is setup for remote work from the HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark. You can join us at the office or work remotely - our current team does a bit of both.
The salary range applied here reflects that salary will be matching experience and competence.
