Job Description

The bigger picture
Dixa is looking for a superstar data professional to join our team and ensure that our data strategy and decisions are correct. This person will among other things be responsible for ensuring that the data sources feeding reports, dashboards, and insights around the organization are accurate and free from error.
Where there are issues, this role will drive for a resolution of the issue by working with members in the BI team and across Commercial, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Business Support to resolve them. This means if you're applying for this, you most likely know a thing or two about project management and also understand some of the technical sides of data processes .

  • Guardian for Dixa Data Quality across the whole organization of 190+ people
  • Ensuring reporting is always accurate for the most senior business stakeholders both internal and external
  • Assessing of data quality expectations across teams
  • Defining data quality requirements
  • Performing data profiling analysis
  • Inputting into the design of data quality solutions
  • Creating data testing rules
  • Documenting of data quality issues
  • Deal with de-duplication, and enforcing data integrity
  • Inspecting and amending ETL processes to prevent and capture data errors
  • Dealing with Master Data Management
  • Working on data monitoring with the help of our reporting team
  • Development of data quality dashboards and reports to inform on the quality of our data
  • Support for root cause analysis
  • Ownership and management of the data quality log
  • Coordinating with assigned data stewards in the organization to fix issues in their departments
  • Ensuring quality within the Dixa Enterprise Data Catalogue and Data Glossary
Who you’ll be working with
  • You will be a part of the Business Intelligence team, reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence. We’re yet a small team expecting to grow with Dixa’s rapid expansion, but for now, we are talking about high impact and great coverage of the business intelligence engine of a fast-paced environment
Who you are
  • Someone good at coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
  • A proactive person likes to take extreme ownership of what they are doing and pre-empt negative situations
  • A skilled operator with data manipulation language SQL since we're working using Google's BigQuery platform. You know how to create data validation rules and test using SQL
  • Is good at strategic thinking but also ready to roll up their sleeves if required - hey we're a startup!
  • An experienced professional that has worked across a variety of types of data
Nice to have
  • Experience with dbt
  • Knowledge and experience working in Data Ops methodology
  • Google BigQuery and Data Studio experience
