Job Description
Are you looking to help lead a team of developers on a mission to create a new and groundbreaking MMORPG with soft launch this year?
As a Senior Software Engineer Bright Star Studios Web team, you'll be part of the core group of developers that takes care of everything out of the game like homepage, bots, blockchain, APIs, and so on. Your main responsibility is to maintain and build our microservices and API’s which connect our website to the game. This means everything from authentication, players inventories, chat services, social servers, and blockchain integrations. We are expanding with rocket speed, while being on our quest to make the next big MMORPG. Generally, building something from scratch should excite you rather than terrify you. Don't worry, you won't be doing this alone; throughout the last year our team grew by 125% and we have various backgrounds from companies such as Riot Games, Blizzard, Apple, Unity, Lucas Art, and more. We have plenty of ideas and we are looking for more talented people to help us fulfill them.
Responsibilities:
- Making scalable backend web services
- Building production-grade APIs
- Creating golang microservices
Requirements
The MUSTs:
- Expertise in GoLang ( Or similar like c++ or rust and willing to learn Go)
- 5+ years experience focussed on backend engineering, systems engineering, or scaling web services
- Expertise with full software development life cycle
- A good understanding of Database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL(PostgreSQL)
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
The GOOD TO HAVEs:
- Genuine love for MMOs and/or RPGs
- Experience with NFT’s and blockchain
- General interest in DevOps topics
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Serverless cloud infrastructure (AWS )
- Cryptography (for instance Ethereum-related)
- Experience with a smart contract development language (Solidity, Vyper, etc.)
