Job Description
SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (3 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!
We’re looking for a talented entertainment Writer to join our IP Development team and help build an IP worthy of devotion. Utilizing their expertise in how to professionally write compelling content to support quality expansion of existing lore, the writer should be comfortable working alongside their peers in a creative environment where ideas will often be debated and discarded to support the fast-moving expansion of the IP.
Responsibilities
- In your first month - You’ll get an understanding of SYBO and how the IP development team is set up. Your first project would be to support further developing the Subway Surfers IP Bible!
- In your first 3 months - You’ll be up and running by now, you’ll be well known within the IP development team and their collaboration partners in the different projects. You will continue to develop the IP Bible and support product teams with writing tasks.
- In your first 6 months - You’ll become well versed in the Subway Surfers IP and will be able to support across multiple projects as well as ad hoc
Requirements
- Portfolio of entertainment writing experience - ideally with relevant experience writing compelling characters/expanding an IP
- High-level of writing in english
- Ability to work flexibly with a team on ideas
- A passion for good storytelling
- A sense of humor
Bonus points
- A passion for sci-fi/mystery genres
- Loves entertainment, games/animation
- An understanding of street culture
- Relevant education or body of work
