At our core, we make EV charging simple, accessible, and reliable. Our app enables a consistent charging experience across all charge point brands and we empower EV owners with a full-fledged solution to manage their home charger or to charge on our network of 200.000+ public chargers. By empowering both Charge Point Operators and offering consistent charging experiences for Electrical Vehicle owners, Monta is laying the ground for a scalable and sustainable EV infrastructure.
For our fantastic team in Copenhagen, Monta is looking to add a Senior Product Designer for our mobile app.
As a Senior Product Designer at Monta, your human-centered design mindset will be vital, when building the best charging product in the industry - whether charging at home or on the go. You will be part of a fun and fast-growing company, collaborating closely with other product designers, engineers, researchers, and product managers, translating user needs and business objectives into great experiences for our users.
The position is primarily focused on our mobile app, where you will lead the design work and partner with the product manager and the rest of the great team to build the future of our app which is currently being used by +60.000 EV owners on chargers owned by +300 partners (such as PostNord, Vestas, Zaptec, Copenhagen Airport, NREP and more) and thousands of charge point site owners across our 7 markets (and counting).

- look at a product holistically, taking into account and focusing on business aspects as well as the user experience
- are used to work in a close strategic partnership with a B2C product manager
- can make fast qualified decisions and back them up
- is a master of conceptualising and validating ideas rapidly with users
- can take design from insights, through to prototyping, validation all the way to pixel-perfect Figma prototypes ready for developers
- are nuts about design systems, have a solid understanding of how to utilise and govern design systems, and are excited to further mature, develop and evangelize our existing Design System (Electra)
- want to play an active role in improving the design profession and our processes
- have impeccable skills within the visual design craft (composition, color, typography, iconography etc)
Requirements
We’d love to welcome someone who
- is hungry and full of initiative
- has experience in working with complex mobile products and advanced user flows
- is curious about every aspect of product development, talking to users, collaborating with UX researchers, user testing, and innately passionate about solving problems for EV drivers around the world
- Is excited about mentoring other designers
We need you to...
- ideally, hold 4+ years of experience from a similar role or working with a similar product
- have excellent verbal and written communication in English
- show us some previous similar work that you are proud of
- take a leading role in designing our B2C products
We'd be extremely excited...
- to find someone who can start as soon as possible, but we also respect that the ideal candidate will need to finalize current projects or other obligations in a proper manner before being able to start.
