SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (3 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!
We're looking for a Senior C# Engineer with expert knowledge of Unity and mobile game development to join our Shared Games Services team. The Shared Games Services team builds tools and services to be used across all our games. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Unity Engineer will be to develop high-performing and robust Unity / C# systems that form the basis of our projects. As such, they will have an integral role to play in how SYBO makes its games!

You will join a medium team consisting of 16 skilled and experienced engineers and producers with both external and internal experience. We divide the tasks equally among us and help each other by sourcing both roadmap and ad-hoc work.
Ownership and being proactive is definitely a must for each team member, we need someone autonomous, with an entrepreneurship mentality and attention to details who knows priorities and works towards them in an independent way..
Responsibilities
- In your first month - You’ll get an understanding of SYBO and how our tech stack works and operates. You'll take part in your first project and begin to build up knowledge about our workflows.
- In your first 3 months - You’ll be slowly up and running with your own tasks doing design meetings and getting involved in architectural choices with the assistance of our technical leads. You will help out with pro-actively engaging with both must win battles and reviews across projects
- In your first 12 months - You’ll be immersed in the flow of our team. You will be a trusted engineer among stakeholders. You have accomplished great know-how on different tech flows and know the stack enough to help shape tech critical decisions both for pipeline and best practices. Furthermore you have outlined your own development track at SYBO
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience shipping titles on mobile platforms
- Advanced / Expert Unity3D knowledge and experience, including a deep understanding of asset workflows, data serialization
- Low-level knowledge of C# APIs and Unity APIs
- Multithreading, concurrency and network integrations
- Strong knowledge of C# and modern programming paradigms, e.g. async/await
- Familiarity with widely-used design patterns and algorithms. Ability to demonstrate / explain efficiency of algorithm / implementation
- Team player, that can communicate well with the rest of the team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area
Bonus points:
- Mobile platform knowledge, specifically Android and iOS, and how best to leverage performance on platforms.
- Experience with system programming on shipped titles
- Native development experience on iOS and Android
- Network programming experience
