SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (3 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!

We’re looking for a talented Senior Game Economy Designer to join our Design team.

The magnitude of Subway Surfers requires special attention to its health and user experience.

At the same time we are looking for someone to support and improve our game economy and take it to the next level by improving and iterating, tightening the inflows and outflows etc.


Responsibilities

  • In your first month: You’ll get an understanding of the game’s event harness and workflows . You’ll work together with the Lead Game designer and the LiveOps Coordinator to be able to understand what goes into the game content release and comprehend the capabilities and limits of the game.
  • In your first 3 months: You’ll be up and running by now. At this point in time you should have enough insight into the problem areas and strengths of the game as well as the KPIs we use to measure the quality and health. You will be able to react accordingly to any issue that arises. You should also have a good understanding of the workflows, allowing you to start proposing new improvements.
  • In your first 12 months: You are a vital part of the team. You have become the economy design owner of the game’s base balancing and LiveOps balancing. You have implemented and improved pipelines and tooling. You will have also worked on decreasing the cost and time we expend releasing and maintaining the game.


Requirements

  • You have been part of a live game with proven game balancing and economy as well as live operations responsibilities.
  • Capability of understanding and uncovering pain points in games
  • You also have a clear idea what an ideal game shape should be.
  • You have a market awareness and are aware of trends in other performing games.
  • Ability to cross collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good communication across all channels.
  • Ownership and willingness to learn in a live game environment.
  • You can work Independently, but are able to ask for help when needed.


Bonus Points

  • Knowing unity is a plus
  • Knowing and being an active subway player is a plus
