As IT Product Manager for Veeva Platform at Ascendis Pharma, you will be responsible for team delivery practices and coherence of the Veeva Platform (Clinical, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Quality and Regulatory) offerings in Ascendis. You will act as a key IT contact for both IT and business stakeholders as well as managing multiple development and operations partners. You will work closely with devoted colleagues within the organization, who all share the overall goal of developing and bringing new innovative medicines to patients.

In collaboration with the IT Business Partners and the Product Teams you will use your agile and industry experience to articulate what success looks like for the platform and rally the team to turn that vision into reality.

You will join the Ascendis Pharma Global IT, Continuous Delivery organization, consisting of product teams delivering to business value streams. Ascendis is on a journey to a more agile based approach and by applying your knowledge, you will play a significant role in the transformation journey together with the rest of Global IT where the way we do things here is open for discussion.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Serve as the Product Manager for the Veeva suite of applications, supporting various business processes within Clinical, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Quality and Regulatory functions).
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Veeva product suite, Vault platform, technical design, and Software as a Service (SaaS) implementation best practices.
  • Develop short-term and long-term vault platform and systems roadmaps aligning with IT Product teams and business goals.
  • Partner with IT System Managers to increase awareness of the new features and functionality released by Veeva as part of their periodic releases.
  • Work closely with solutions architect for opportunities to improve and enhance the vault platforms including design, configuration, integrations and business process optimization.
  • Responsible for establishing vault platform global governance and industry best practises in terms of user adoption, release management, product testing methodology, integrations, architecture and design patterns.
  • Responsible for the software solution including processes, requirements and configurations surrounding the use of system; including GxP, GDPR, SOX, other regulatory compliance, where applicable.
  • Coordinate and maintain validated state of IT systems in scope and participate in internal audits as well as inspections conducted by authorities supporting the use of the systems.

The successful candidate has 7+ years of experience from a position as a Service Delivery Manger, System Manager, IT Business Analyst, Project manager or similar. We are looking for a senior profile on Senior Manager level who can manage stakeholder and lead people in the product team by example. You have demonstrated Veeva Platform experience and ideally you have worked in a biotech or pharmaceutical company. It would be added benefits if you have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Veeva Vault, Cloud based architecture, Vault SDK, Python, JSON, XML, Integrations with REST-based APIs.
  • Knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, Compliant GxP Computerized Systems (GAMP5), Data privacy, and other regulatory requirements or policies. Knowledge and Experience with one or more of the following Vault platforms: eTMF, QMS, Quality, CDMS, PromoMats, MedComms, RIM

You hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or something completely
