Do you have experience with UI art in games? And do you have a can-do attitude? You might be the UI Artist we are looking for!
SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (3 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!
You will be working on a new game title and you will join a small, very strong and senior game team that moves fast and pushes the boundaries of art in the mobile industry. We have a very inclusive and flat structure and you will innovate on a daily basis and love getting your hands dirty with everything game-related.
As a UI artist you will help shape the future UI art style of SYBO and will be working on a new game title currently in production. Your daily activities will have a direct impact on the day to day operations and success of the game.
Responsibilities:
- You will be reporting to the Art Director but first and foremost acting as part of the game team.
- Working closely with the art team, UX designer, Senior UI artist amp; the design team to make sure art and gameplay function well together.
- Direct UI Animations to improve the screen to screen game feel.
- Input and opinion on UX, helping to map the flow of it, do wireframe examples and know how to improve the feeling of it.
- Experience on optimizing assets
In your first month - You’ll familiarize yourself with the processes and projects in our division.
In your first 3 months - You’ll be up and running by now, slowly taking over tasks and creative assignments in key parts of the projects.
In your first 12 months - You’ll become a vital part of the team and understand exactly what SYBO is about! With the rest of us, you’ll up the level of UI quality.
Requirements
- You have a great sense of stylized art.
- Knowledge of mobile game UI design
- Able to render, design, and animate high-quality UI elements and have the toolset to achieve it (Adobe Suite etc)
- You can create UI mockups and communicate your vision clearly to the team.
- You take responsibility for the project you are working on and you are self-sufficient.
- You will be involved with every aspect of game production and you will need to love working on a lot of different topics and have the willingness to learn new skills.
- React positively to feedback and give well-formulated, confident answers, even when challenged
- Good organizational skills, good at working with design systems
- Experience with Unity or similar game engines, implement interfaces together with developers or you have the willingness to learn how.
- Fluency in English
