We are only at the beginning of a successful story. After 10 years of running, 2022 was the most successful year in the history of the game!
We’re looking for a Game Director for Subway Surfers one of the biggest mobile gaming success stories ever! We have an ever-growing fanbase and an ambitious team who wants to deliver top quality, and you’ll be responsible for unleashing this potential. The goal is not only to achieve new heights in our metrics but also to nurture and continuously instill the culture and values of SYBO into the team and build a safe amp; playful work environment.
Responsibilities
In your first month: You’ll spend most of your time getting to know the Subway team. You’ll be deep diving into rituals, lines of communication, culture, and department dynamics to fully understand your new team. You’ll get yourself up to speed on the vision for the game and the roadmap ahead and spend time getting a feel of the company, and building relations with various stakeholders outside your department.
In your first 3 months: You will be up to speed with our workflows and have a clear understanding of how the Subway team is currently operating. You have built relationships with your direct reports and most important stakeholders. You have a good idea on how to lead, support and empower the team to achieve their goals, and will start to leave your mark on the daily work.
In your first 6 months: You are ready to take the responsibility for the ongoing success and quality of Subway Surfers and the teams. You will be responsible for hitting the game’s goals and have a strong view of the competitive landscape and industry dynamics to keep us on top as one of the best runner games. You will be guiding the vision for the game, and through great leadership you will motivate your game team to continuously bring a world-class gaming experience to our fans.
Requirements
- You have experience leading a cross-disciplinary team in the mobile gaming landscape preferably on a live game
- You have a solid understanding of F2P market trends and developments
- You can give input and direction to all disciplines without having to be an expert in the fields
- You know how to promote the team's successes properly and are comfortable representing them in wider forums.
- You have good experience in growing and nurturing teams
- You are good at making decisions, drawing on data to inform you as well as your experience and input from the team
