SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (3 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!
You are a curious and disciplined individual and are passionate about mobile games. Your skills and expertise enables our game teams to optimize multiple elements including our player retention and monetization to drive success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and other team members to develop and provide valuable insights for games on retention, monetization and acquisition
- Investigating key business queries via hands-on exploration of data using SQL, dashboards, statistical data analysis and data visualization tools
- Creating, maintaining and analyzing dashboards and reports for the game team and also key cross organizational teams
- Measuring success of new product features in partnership with product managers and game designers on retention, monetization and acquisition
- Communicating insights clearly to a variety of stakeholders including product managers and designers
- In your first month - You will meet your new team members consisting of cross functional teams and you will play and learn about our games. During the first month you will work on an individual project with the sole purpose to understand the culture of the cross functional teams and the technologies we utilize.
- In your first 3 months - You’ll be forming part of the team’s culture and daily rhythm of work. You will be playing the game and interacting with product managers and designers to understand their vision, road map and design intent. Your role will be to help them understand the live player experience around the game. You will be contributing with your experience to improve the overall analytics platform capabilities not only for your game but also for SYBO.
- In your first 12 months - You’ll become a vital part of the team and be able to understand the team’s needs for insights and player behavior to drive improvements and optimize the player experiences across the game.
Requirements
- You have a passion for playing games and have previously worked in an analytical function
- You are able to create hypotheses and provide insights based on the data you work with along with your knowledge of mobile games
- You have good experience with SQL query writing for data extraction and analysis
- You have experience in Python and/or R for statistical analysis of data
- You have extensive knowledge in data visualization and reporting tools
- You have great communication and collaboration skills to be able to discuss data and insights
- You are curious and ask questions
Bonus points
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Looker
- An interest for puzzle games
- You have an understanding of game design
