Job Description

SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (3 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!


We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL skills and analytics experience who can build the analytics foundations for our Growth Team. You are a curious and disciplined individual and are passionate about mobile games. You have business awareness and are capable of digging into terabytes of data to drive advanced analysis and enable our marketing team to make data informed decisions. You will help us evaluate our marketing and user acquisition investments and monitor ongoing performance to unlock business opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Data infrastructure - You will ensure the Marketing team have the right tools and services for interacting with data, data quality guardianship when onboarding various Marketing systems in partnership with backend data engineers.
  • Data analytics - You will be processing large datasets, working closely with the Growth Team on analyzing campaign performance using descriptive analytics, and segmenting our players based on their behavior and characteristics.
  • Data science - You will be driving a range of predictive analytics projects and also aid in business forecasting for the Marketing Team.
  • Reporting - the team will rely on your expert opinion and ability to create visual dashboards which will enrich our decision making.
  • Expert Opinion - extracting insights from various ad-hoc analytics and deep-dives to aid decision making across the Marketing team.


In your first month - You will meet your new team members consisting of cross functional teams and you will play and learn about our games. During the first month you will work on an individual project with the sole purpose to understand the culture of the cross functional teams and the technologies we utilize in Marketing and the Organization at large.

In your first 3 months - You’ll be forming part of the team’s culture and daily rhythm of work whilst developing a great understanding of our goals and vision for SYBO and the Marketing team. You will be leading a number of initiatives which will form the building blocks of the Growth Team’s operations.

In your first 12 months - You will have built a solid analytics foundation for our Growth Operations, contributed to the growth of multiple titles, and increased the data literacy of the organization. Your valuable experience and insights will contribute to the strategic planning of future marketing campaigns.



Requirements

  • You have a passion for playing games and have previously worked in an analytical function in Games Marketing.
  • You are able to create hypotheses and provide insights based on the data you work with along with your knowledge of mobile games/apps
  • You have robust experience with SQL query writing for data extraction and analysis for large data sets
  • You are proficient in Python and/or R for statistical analysis of data
  • You have extensive knowledge in data visualization and reporting tools
  • You have great communication and collaboration skills to be able to discuss data and insights
  • You are curious and ask questions

  • Experience with User Acquisition
  • Experience with Mobile Measurement Partners (We use Singular)
  • Experience with Looker
