Engineering Manager
Ageras Marketplace helps business owners find a suitable accountant at the right price. The marketplace is active in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany and United States.
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering manager to play a key role in our continued growth journey.
You’ll be working in a team of engineers while capable of mentoring and pushing for architectural excellence. In this job, you will be referring to the CTO and performing the following tasks:
· You will be setting the technical direction for the product and development team
· Implement best practices for the teams within coding guidelines and CI/CD processes
· You will contribute to coding and carrying out code reviews
· Take part in on-boarding of new software engineers to the team
· Take ownership of technical topics and areas and ensure end-to-end technical delivery
· You will be building reliable and scalable systems and services with an eye for sustainability and meeting long-term visions.
· Partnering and collaborating closely with the Product manager ensuring we deliver feasible and valuable solutions to customers
· Give regular and clear feedback around the individual's performance
· You will encourage technical decision making on the team but make final decisions when deemed necessary.
· Oversee the continuous Improvement of product quality, security, and architecture.
Requirements
· Senior-level engineering background
· Preferably MSc in computer science or equivalent
· Experience working as a software architect
· Experience with PHP, Laravel, MySQL, knowledge in React is a plus.
· We are interested in someone who can create solutions and think outside of the box.
Nice to have
· Experience working with legacy product and transitioning projects
· A great eye for UX design and frontend
